How to completely secure your facebook account
- First : Get alert when anyone logs in to your account
- Go to settings > Security > Edit login alerts > check the boxs of Get notifications & Email login alerts to the email
- in text messages click on connect your phone number choose your country and insert your phone number then click on continue
- wait a few seconds and you will receive a message from facebook contain the confirmation code
- Enter the Confirmation code which you just received in message > Click on confirm
- adjust who can see your phone number ( i recommend only me ) > Save settings
- If reload window appeared click on reload this page
- final step check the boxs again of get notifications & Email login alerts & Text login alerts
- Save settings
Second : Login approvals using your phone as an extra layer of security
- Edit login approvals > Check the box of Require a security code to access my account from unknown browsers > Get started > choose what kind of phone do you use ( i prefer to go with " other " ) Because if you choose the first option ( Android,iphone or ipod touch ) you will use the facebook app on the phone the get the confirmation code and its kinda complicated
- But, " other " let the facebook send you a message with the confirmation code
- After you choose the second option > Click on continue
- Wait a few seconds until you receive your confirmation code
- Enter the confirmation code > Click on continue > Check the box of No thanks,require a code right away > Click close
- Third : Clear saved browsers
- Edit Browsers and Apps > Clear all unwanted browsers > Save changes.
